Cynthia M. Alves

Cynthia M. Alves, MD, FACC

Dr. Alves' expertise is in Clinical, Non-Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology. She has Subspecialty training and Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology. In addition, she performs non-invasive testing including stress testing and echocardiogram services in both office and hospital settings.

Dr. Alves trained at Brown University School of Medicine and her undergraduate degree at University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Roger Williams Hospital / Brown University, where she served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. She completed her Cardiology Fellowship at Brown University's Combined Program in Cardiovascular Disease. She currently has teaching responsibilities at Roger Williams Medical Center in the Internal Medicine Residency program. In addition, she holds leadership positions at Roger Williams Medical Center on the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Alves is also a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology.

George Bourganos

George Bourganos, MD, FACC

Dr. Bourganos specializes in Clinical, Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology. He has training in Nuclear Cardiology. He performs non-invasive testing including stress testing and echocardiogram services in both office and hospital settings, while performing invasive cardiac catheterization and Trans esophageal echocardiograms at The Westerly Hospital. In addition, he performs pacemaker and defibrillator interrogations, and ECG/Holter Monitor interpretation.

Dr. Bourganos trained at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School, Greece. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Metrowest Framingham Medical Center and then his residency at St. Elizabethメs Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He also completed his Cardiology Fellowship at St. Elizabethメs Medical Center in Boston. In addition, he holds leadership positions at The Westerly Hospital, currently serving as President of the Medical Staff. Dr Bourganos is a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology.

Kirit Desai

Kirit Desai, MD, FACC

Dr. Desai specializes in Clinical, Non-Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology. He performs non-invasive testing including stress testing and echocardiogram services in both office and hospital settings, while performing invasive diagnostic cardiac catheterization at Landmark Medical Center.

Dr. Desai completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Byramji Jeejibhoy Medical College Poona, India. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y and then his residency at SUNY Downstate University Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He then completed his Cardiology Fellowship at affiliated Hospitals of Brown University in Providence. In addition, he holds leadership positions at Landmark Medical Center, serving as past chief of Cardiology and currently as the Co-Chairman of Investigational Research Committee. Dr Desai has engaged in clinical cardiology research, including ASSENT II trial; ACHIEVE study, ATLAS study, and EXCEL study. He is a fellow of The American College of Cardiology, and is a member of the Woonsocket Medical Society and the American Medical Society.

David M. Donaldson

David M. Donaldson, MD, FACC

Dr. Donaldson specializes in Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology exclusively. He has Subspecialty training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He performs non-invasive testing including arrhythmia analysis, EKG analysis, Holter/Event recorder analysis, Pacemaker and Defibrillator management in both office and hospital settings, while performing invasive cardiac electrophysiology procedures and ablations at The Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Donaldson performs implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators at Landmark Medical Center, The Miriam Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital, in addition to pacemakers at Roger Williams Medical Center, Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and The Westerly Hospital.

Dr. Donaldson has a bachelorメs degree from Union College in Schenectady, New York, and completed the Premedical Post Baccalaureate Program at Columbia University in New York. He completed his medical school training at The Sackler School of Medicine / New York State Program. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York addition to his Cardiology Fellowship at North Shore University Hospital / Long Island Jewish Hospitals. He then performed additional training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School. Dr Donaldson is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology, a member of The Heart Rhythm Society and a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr Donaldson has authored over 30 peer reviewed journal articles, and multiple abstracts and has presented at several national meetings.

Dr Donaldson is a native of Auburn, New York. In his free time, he enjoys time with his wife and two young daughters.

N. Christopher Kelley

N. Christopher Kelley, MD, FACC

Dr. Kelley specializes in Clinical, Invasive, Non-Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology, in addition to medical and endovascular therapy for Peripheral Vascular Disease. He has Subspecialty training and board certification in Echocardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. He performs non-invasive testing including stress testing, echocardiogram services and peripheral vascular studies in both office and hospital settings, while performing invasive cardiac catheterization and coronary and peripheral vascular angioplasty at The Miriam Hospital and Landmark Medical Center.

Dr. Kelley has a bachelorメs degree from The Johns Hopkins University and completed his medical school training at Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut in addition to his Cardiology Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr Kelley serves as a clinical instructor at Brown University School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology, a member of The American Medical Association and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

Malcolm M. Kirk

Malcolm M. Kirk, MD, FACC

He then completed additional training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at University of Maryland Hospitals in Baltimore. Dr. Kirk serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology, a Fellow of The Heart Rhythm Society and a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Kirk serves on the review panel of four journals on an ad hoc basis, in addition to having authored 26 peer reviewed journal articles and multiple abstracts.

Thomas V. Lanna

Thomas V. Lanna, MD, FACC

Dr. Lanna has expertise in Clinical, Non-Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology. He has Subspecialty training in Nuclear Cardiology. In addition, he performs non-invasive testing including stress testing and echocardiogram services in both office and hospital settings.

Dr. Lanna completed his undergraduate degree at Providence College in Rhode Island and then trained at Brown University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Roger Williams Hospital / Brown University, where he subsequently was selected as a Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Brown Universityメs Combined Program in Cardiovascular Disease. Joseph P. Mazza

Joseph P. Mazza, MD, FACC

Dr. Mazza specializes in Clinical, Invasive, Non-Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology. He has Subspecialty training in Nuclear Cardiology. He performs non-invasive testing including stress testing, echocardiogram services in both office and hospital settings, while performing invasive cardiac catheterization at The Miriam Hospital and Landmark Medical Center.

Dr. Mazza completed his undergraduate degree at Providence College in Rhode Island and then trained at George Washington School of Medicine in Washington D.C. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Roger Williams Hospital / Brown University, and then served as a Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Brown Universityメs Combined Program in Cardiovascular Disease. He is currently the Divisional Director of Cardiology at Roger Williams Hospital and former co-director of the cardiac catheterization lab at Roger Williams Hospital. In addition, Dr Mazza is a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology, and a member of the Rhode Island Medical Society. He is a recipient of the モTeaching Attending of the Yearヤ at Roger Williams Medical Center. In addition, he has been awarded モTop Doctorsヤ by Rhode Island Monthly Magazine in years: 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Rita  Peter-Faherty

Rita Peter-Faherty, MD, FACC

Dr. Peter-Fahertyメs expertise is in Clinical, Non-Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology. She has Subspecialty training in Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. She performs non-invasive testing including stress testing and echocardiogram services in both office and hospital settings, in addition she performs trans esophageal echocardiogram in the hospital setting.

Dr. Peter-Faherty completed her undergraduate degree at Siena College in Loudonville, New York and trained at Albany Medical College in New York. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Brown University in Providence and then completed her Cardiology Fellowship at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She currently has teaching responsibilities at Roger Williams Medical Center in the Internal Medicine Residency program. Dr. Peter-Faherty received a モTeacher of the Year Awardヤ at Roger Williams Medical Center for her commitment to resident education. In addition, she is the CCU director at Roger Williams Medical Center and is the director of Nuclear Cardiology at The Westerly Hospital. Richard A. Regnante

He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Brown University Program in Providence, RI in addition to his Cardiology Fellowship and subspecialty training in interventional cardiology / vascular medicine at Brown University Program in Providence. Dr Regnante serves as a clinical instructor in Medicine at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is a member of The American College of Cardiology, the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and the Society of Vascular Medicine. Sharyn Saunders

Sharyn Saunders, PA

Physician Assistant Saunders' clinical focus is Clinical, Non-Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology. She has Subspecialty experience in the cardiac catheterization lab. In addition, she performs non-invasive testing including stress testing in both office and hospital settings, and the pacemaker and defibrillator clinic in our Woonsocket Office.

Physician Assistant Saunders completed her undergraduate degree at University of Southern Indiana and then graduated from the Physician Assistant program at Cincinnati College in Ohio. She then additionally completed her Masters Degree in Arts from University of Evansville in Indiana. She has extensive experience in Adult Primary Care & Emergency Medicine in Indiana, and then in the Surgical Oncology and Intensive Care Unit at Roger Williams Medical Center. She has over 14 years of experience in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Miriam Hospital before joining Rhode Island Cardiovascular.

Physician Assistant Saunders sees patients in our Woonsocket Office. She is involved in patient care at Landmark Medical Center, Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and The Miriam Hospitals.

She is married and has 2 beautiful cats. In her free time she is an avid hiker, biker, kayaker and sailor.

Sajid Siddiq

Sajid Siddiq, MD, FACC, FASE, FASNC

Dr. Siddiq specializes in Clinical, Invasive, Non-Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology. He has Subspecialty training in Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography and Cardiac CT Imaging. He performs non-invasive testing including stress testing, echocardiographic services in both office and hospital settings, while performing invasive cardiac catheterization at The Miriam Hospital and Landmark Medical Center. Dr. Siddiq completed his undergraduate degree at Cadet College Hasanabdal in Pakistan, ranked number one in his graduating class and subsequently completed his medical degree (MBBS) at King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, graduating in the top 5% of his class. Additionally, Dr Siddiq completed his medical training at The Royal College of Physicians, London, England (MRCP-UK). He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan. He further trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut in Farmington in addition to his Cardiology Fellowship also at the University of Connecticut. During his fellowship and residency, he was awarded the prestigious Howard Levine Science Award for two years for his contributions to medicine and original scientific research.

Dr Siddiq is currently the President of Medical Staff on the Executive Committee at Landmark Medical Center, and he is currently the Chief of Cardiology and Director of Nuclear Cardiology at Landmark Medical Center, and is currently the Director of Nuclear Cardiology at Roger Williams Medical Center. Dr Siddiq is a fellow of The American College of Cardiology, Fellow of American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, Fellow of American Society of Echocardiography, and a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Computer Tomography. He is author of numerous peer review articles and abstracts, and has presented at national and regional meetings.
