Professional Background
Dr. Hoshang Farhad joined CINE in August of 2024. He was an Interventional Cardiology Fellow at Beth Israel Lahey Health - Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts. He earned his medical degree from the University of Lausanne School of Medicine in Switzerland in 2011. Dr. Farhad completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center from 2017-2020, followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the same institution from 2020-2023. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and licensed to practice medicine in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Dr. Farhad has extensive research experience in cardiology, with a particular focus on cardiac imaging. From 2012-2015, he was a post-doctoral research fellow in cardiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital - Harvard Medical School, where he worked on numerous projects utilizing cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the European Heart Journal, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and Circulation. Dr. Farhad has received several honors for his work, including the Excellence in Teaching Award from Tufts University Medical School in 2020.
In addition to his clinical and research pursuits, Dr. Farhad is committed to medical education. He has experience teaching medical students and residents and has been recognized for excellence in teaching. Dr. Farhad is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. His expertise includes interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging, and cardiovascular disease management.
