Professional Background
Professional BackgroundDr. Kirk specializes in Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology exclusively. He has Subspecialty training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He performs non-invasive testing, including arrhythmia analysis, EKG analysis, Holter/Event recorder analysis, and Pacemaker and Defibrillator management in both office and hospital settings, while performing invasive cardiac electrophysiology procedures and ablations at The Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Kirk performs implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators at Landmark Medical Center, The Miriam Hospital, and Rhode Island Hospital, in addition to pacemakers at Roger Williams Hospital and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital.
Dr. Kirk has a bachelor's degree from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, a master's degree at Hahnemann University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed his medical school training at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio, and his Cardiology Fellowship at University of Maryland Hospitals in Baltimore, Maryland. He then completed additional training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Maryland Hospitals in Baltimore. Dr. Kirk serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology, a Fellow of The Heart Rhythm Society, and a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Kirk serves on the review panel of four journals on an ad hoc basis, in addition to having authored 26 peer-reviewed journal articles and multiple abstracts.

He performs consultations and devices at The Miriam Hospital, Landmark Medical Center, Roger Williams Medical Center, Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, and The Rhode Island Hospital; in addition, he has admitting privileges and performs consultations at Women and Infants Hospital.
Dr. Kirk enjoys spending time with his family and skiing in his spare time.
